Happy New Year to all my readers!

As we step into 2025, I wanted to take a moment to reconnect and provide an update on what’s been happening in my life. The past few months have been incredibly busy, and while I’ve missed writing and sharing stories, life’s demands have taken priority.
The holiday season brought a flurry of activities, from birthday parties and holiday celebrations to the ongoing responsibilities of wedding planning. On top of that, we faced an unexpected challenge when our cat, Juggy, required emergency surgery after ingesting several feet of string. Thankfully, he’s made a full recovery, but the experience was both emotionally and physically draining.

Amid the chaos, we’ve made significant progress on wedding preparations. With less than 90 days until the big day, we’re finalizing details and ensuring everything is in place. In November, we visited our venue in San Diego for a food tasting and to lock in our hotel block. Unfortunately, I had to leave early due to a migraine, but we’ve rescheduled for later this month. During our next trip, we’ll also be obtaining our marriage license, attending a production meeting to finalize the timeline, narrowing down options for our rehearsal dinner location, and re-attending the food tasting (NOM NOM- can’t wait!).
Despite the busyness, I’m grateful for the holiday season we enjoyed with family and friends. We even managed to see a few movies (Gladiator 2 and Wicked: Part 1), both of which were exceptional and highly recommended.
I also want to acknowledge that balancing everything hasn’t been easy. Like many, I’ve had my own challenges with mental health, and I’ve learned the importance of prioritizing self-care. While I don’t often share these struggles publicly, I feel it’s important to be honest. Taking time to pause and regroup has been essential, and I encourage anyone feeling overwhelmed to do the same.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to return to writing and sharing stories with you all. This blog has always been a place where I can connect with others, and I’m eager to dive back in with fresh content and updates.
Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding during this busy season of my life. I hope your holidays were filled with joy and that this new year brings growth, happiness, and new opportunities for us all.
Stay tuned for more updates soon, and as always, thank you for being here.

With love,
Lex
