A Message from the Cards: My Unexpected Tarot Reading

There’s something special about the quiet of nighttime – the world slows down, and for a moment, everything feels still. Last night, I decided to do a tarot pull, something I try to do daily. But this time, I reached for my Stranger Things tarot deck, a newer addition to my collection that I’m still getting to know. As I shuffled the cards, my cat was curled up on my lap, purring softly, keeping me warm.

I don’t usually pull two cards, but something told me to do it this time. And when I did, I was shocked – right there in my hands were the 8 of Scoops and the 9 of Scoops, side by side in perfect sequence.

The Meaning Behind the Cards

The 8 of Scoops (akin to the 8 of Pentacles in traditional tarot) represents hard work, dedication, and skill-building. It’s about putting in the effort, even when progress feels slow. It reminded me of the things I’ve been pouring my energy into – my blog, my tarot practice, and my personal growth.

The 9 of Scoops is a sign of success, self-sufficiency, and reaping the rewards of all the effort. It’s about reaching a point where you can step back and appreciate what you’ve built. Seeing these two cards together felt like a clear message: keep going – your efforts will pay off.

A Reflection on My Journey

At first, I wasn’t thinking about anything specific when I shuffled the deck. But once I sat with the cards, I realized how much they align with my current path.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my blog – where I want to take it, how I want it to evolve. Writing has always been a part of me, but I’ve been figuring out how to make it more personal, more reflective of who I am. The 8 of Scoops reminded me that growth takes time, but if I keep showing up, I’ll reach that 9 of Scoops moment – where I feel at home in my writing, where it truly feels like mine.

The same goes for my tarot journey. Every reading, every new deck, every moment spent interpreting the cards brings me closer to a deeper understanding. This pull felt like my deck telling me, “You’re on the right path – trust yourself.”

Trusting the Process

I love that tarot has a way of giving us the messages we need, even when we’re not looking for them. This reading was a small but powerful reminder to stay patient, keep learning, and trust that everything is unfolding the way it’s meant to.

Maybe this is a message for you too. Whatever you’re working toward, whatever you’re passionate about – keep going. The effort you’re putting in now is shaping something beautiful, even if you can’t see the full picture just yet.
