The Cosmic Connection: Pets and the Full Moon

Last night’s full moon didn’t just rise—it roared.

I should’ve known it would be one of those days. From the moment I opened my eyes yesterday, something felt… off. The energy was weird. I was in a funk, snapping over nothing, side-eyeing the air like it owed me money. There was no reason for it—no real trigger. Just a low hum of agitation vibrating through my bones like the moon herself was drumming a rhythm only I could feel.

But the real wild magic started after dark.

Enter Juggy—my beloved, sassy, possibly-otherworldly cat.

Normally, Juggy’s a calm cuddle-bug with occasional bursts of zoomie flair. But last night? Oh no. He went full gremlin mode. I’m talking Olympic-level zoomies, ghostly yowls in the hallway, launching himself off the furniture like a possessed parkour pro. Up the stairs. Down the stairs. Onto the dresser. Into the void. Repeat. All. Night. Long.

And the weirdest part? His food bowl was full. His water was fresh. His litter box was clean. No creepy shadows. No house noises. Nothing to trigger him… except, perhaps, the pull of the full moon.

That’s when it hit me—Juggy wasn’t just acting wild for fun. He was reacting to something. Something energetic. Something lunar.

And honestly? I’m convinced.

Juggy is my familiar.

It’s not the first time I’ve felt this. There’s a deep bond between us—a connection that goes beyond cuddles and snacks. He always seems to know when I’m spiraling. He sleeps near me when I’m grieving. He stares into corners at nothing when I feel anxious (which is not comforting, by the way). And he often follows me during my spiritual rituals like a little moonlit sentinel.

But last night? He was on duty. Clearing the space, disrupting stagnant energy, and possibly fighting off invisible moon demons (10/10 familiar behavior, really).

It made me think: maybe the full moon isn’t just for us to charge crystals and set intentions. Maybe our familiars—whether cats, dogs, or spirit critters—feel it too. Maybe they’re doing their own cosmic work right alongside us.

And maybe, just maybe, when we feel out of sorts and our pets go a little lunar loco, it’s a sign that we’re not alone in this dance with the universe.

If your pet acts weird during the full moon, you might not be living with a furball… you might be living with a familiar🐾🌕

So next time the moon is full and your cat’s breakdancing on the stairs at 3am—don’t get annoyed. Get curious.

They might just be fighting off your bad vibes… one paw-thunderstorm at a time.

Tell me—has your pet ever acted strange during a full moon? Do you believe in familiars? Drop a comment or send me a message—I’d love to hear your stories!

Bonus tip for fellow cat moms: If your familiar likes to make a grand entrance like mine, Juggy wears a festive holiday collar that jingles when he struts – and yes, he always gets compliments when we’re out. It’s cute, comfy, and perfect for showing off your pet’s personality! Buys yours here on Amazon. (As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases).
