Discovering Intuition Through Oracle Cards

I’ve been working so hard on myself lately — spiritually, emotionally, even energetically. And somewhere in that process, I started to feel like the universe was trying to tell me something bigger… but I was only catching the pieces.

Oracle cards have always been my way of checking in. Sometimes it’s a burst of clarity, sometimes comfort, sometimes a gentle shove in the right direction. But lately, the daily pulls felt like puzzle pieces I wasn’t putting together.

So I tried something new.

I decided to track my pulls over several days to see if a story would appear instead of just a lesson-of-the-day.

For anyone new to oracle cards:

They’re not fortune-tellers.

They’re mirrors.

They’re conversation starters with your intuition — each deck carrying its own personality and language.

And this week?

My cards spoke loud and clear.

🧂 Day 1 — Salt: Clearing Space for Light

The first message was Salt — a reminder to cleanse. Not physically, but emotionally. Energetically. To let go of old weight so new clarity could actually reach me.

It felt like Spirit clearing the room before a conversation.

🛡 Day 2 — Protection: Guard Your Spark

The next day brought forward the idea of protecting my energy.

Not hiding it… protecting it.

There’s a big difference.

It made me realize that I dim my light to avoid judgment. I shrink myself to make others comfortable. And the universe was basically tapping me on the shoulder saying,

“You don’t have to do that anymore.”

🔮 Day 3 — Interpretation: Listen to Your Own Language

By the third day, the message shifted inward.

I was reminded that my intuition has its own voice — through sensations, dreams, déjà vu, chills, gut pulls… things I’ve always felt, but haven’t always trusted.

The universe was saying,

“You already know. Stop doubting yourself.”

👑 Day 4 — Dana: The Ancient Knowing Within

Then came the moment everything softened.

The card Dana — representing wisdom, power, and the priestess within — showed up like a warm hand on my shoulder.

It reminded me that the wisdom I’m chasing is already inside me.

Always has been.

I just forget sometimes.

🌼 Day 5 — Dandelion: Hope, Wishes & Lightness

After so much deep spiritual messaging, I was gifted something gentle.

Dandelion.

A reminder to breathe.

To dream.

To reconnect with hope.

To remember that not everything on the spiritual path needs to feel heavy — sometimes the most magical thing we can do is let ourselves feel light again

🧙‍♀️ Day 6 — Teacher: Becoming Who I Needed

And then came the final card: Teacher.

And everything snapped into place.

Cleanse.

Protect.

Trust.

Remember.

Hope.

Teach.

It was a full arc — a spiritual story-line I didn’t see coming.

The message wasn’t just about being a teacher for others…

It was about becoming a teacher in my own life.

Learning from my mistakes instead of repeating them.

Honoring my intuition instead of ignoring it.

And showing up in my truth instead of hiding parts of myself to make others more comfortable.

✨ The Moment it All Clicked

When I stepped back and looked at the entire week, I realized something powerful:

Oracle cards don’t just reflect who we are in the moment — they reveal who we’re becoming.

Each pull was a chapter.

Each day a step forward.

And together, they painted a picture I never would have seen if I’d kept looking for “daily answers” instead of “ongoing guidance.”

🌙 For Anyone Who Needs This Too

If you’re someone who reaches for oracle cards during hard times, confusing times, or hopeful times — you’re not alone. These little pieces of cardboard have helped me feel connected, grounded, and understood when life feels heavy.

And if you ever want to start your own weekly spiritual check-in, here’s what helped me:

Pull one card a day

Write down the card and how it made you feel

At the end of the week, read everything together

Look for themes, patterns, or messages you couldn’t see day-by-day

It’s not about predicting your future.

It’s about understanding your present.

And maybe — like me — remembering who you were always meant to be.

🌌 A Quick Note

I used several different oracle decks throughout this week. If you’re curious about them, I’ve linked a few of the decks I used at the bottom of this post.

As an Amazon Associate, I may earn from qualifying purchases, but I only recommend the decks I personally use, trust, and love.

A quick note on Doreen Virtue decks:

I often get asked where to purchase Doreen Virtue oracle cards, and I want to share an honest update. As of now, I haven’t been able to locate any reliable or official Amazon listings for her decks. Many of the links circulating online are questionable or lead to counterfeit products, so please proceed with caution if you choose to search there.

Most of my own Doreen Virtue decks were purchased from metaphysical and specialty bookstores many moons ago. These shops often carry brand-new decks at surprisingly great prices – likely due to bulk purchasing or distributor connections (though I couldn’t tell you their secret!). If you’re hoping to build your collection, these stores are an excellent place to start.

You may also come across used decks in secondhand or spiritual shops. There’s nothing wrong with purchasing a pre-loved deck; just be sure to cleanse and energetically reset it before using it – especially since oracle cards tend to hold onto the energy of previous readers.
