If you’re new to witchcraft…
If you’ve just started paying attention to moon phases…
If you feel spiritual but don’t quite know what you’re “doing” yet…
Take a breath.
You’re not behind.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.

March 3rd brings us the Worm Moon — and this year, it arrives during a lunar eclipse. That sounds intense. Maybe even intimidating.
But let’s soften it.
Because this space? LexTalk?
This is not gatekeeping witchcraft. This is not aesthetic perfection witchcraft. This is growth-in-real-time witchcraft.
What Is the Worm Moon?
The Worm Moon is the full moon in March. Its name comes from the earth beginning to thaw — when worms reappear and soil softens for spring planting.
Spiritually, this moon represents:
- Awakening after stagnation
- Gentle emergence
- The first signs of life returning
- Growth that starts quietly
You don’t have to “do” anything complicated under this moon.
You just have to notice what’s thawing inside you.
And What About the Lunar Eclipse?

A lunar eclipse happens when Earth casts a shadow over the moon.
Spiritually, eclipses are about revelation and release. But here’s something important for new witches to hear:
You do NOT need a complicated ritual. You do NOT need rare herbs. You do NOT need to “get it right.”
Eclipse energy is less about performance and more about honesty.
It asks: What are you ready to let go of?
That’s it.
For the Witch Who Feels Inexperienced
If you feel like:
- You don’t know enough yet
- Your altar isn’t “Pinterest worthy”
- You don’t own enough crystals
- You’re still figuring out what you believe
You are still a witch.
Witchcraft is not about aesthetic.
It’s about awareness.
The Worm Moon + Eclipse combo is actually perfect for beginners because it’s about shedding what isn’t you — including the pressure to look like everyone else.
Your practice can be:
- A candle from Target
- A handwritten journal
- A quiet walk at night
- A cup of tea and honest reflection
That counts.
A Simple, Beginner-Friendly Eclipse Ritual

No pressure. No perfection.
You’ll need:
- One candle (any color)
- A piece of paper
- A bowl of water (optional)
Write down one thing you’re ready to release.
Maybe it’s:
- Self-doubt
- Comparison
- Fear of being “cringe”
- Feeling like you’re not spiritual enough
Hold the paper and say:
“I release what no longer feels aligned with who I am becoming.”
You can safely burn it, rip it up, or tear it into tiny pieces and drop it into water.
That’s it.
No dramatic invocation required.
Your intention is the magic.
Eclipse Aftercare (Especially for Sensitive Souls)
If you’re intuitive, emotional, or energetically sensitive, you might feel:
- Extra tired
- Emotional waves
- Restlessness
- Vivid dreams
This is normal.
Ground yourself with:
- Warm food
- A shower or bath
- Bare feet on the ground
- Turning your phone off early
Magic is powerful — but so is rest.

This Is a Safe Space
If you’re new here, welcome.
You don’t have to know every tarot spread. You don’t have to memorize correspondences. You don’t have to be loud about your spirituality.
You are allowed to grow quietly. You are allowed to question. You are allowed to change your beliefs. You are allowed to evolve.
The Worm Moon reminds us that growth starts underground — unseen, messy, and imperfect.
And that doesn’t make it less sacred.
It makes it real.
