31 Days of October: A Photo + Writing Challenge
Today’s writing prompt asks: What’s the Halloween candy you would NEVER trade away?
I know chocolate is usually the star of Halloween. Reese’s, Snickers, Kit Kats, Hershey’s… everyone seems to have their favorites.
But me? You can have the chocolate. Just don’t touch my gummies! 
Especially Trolli gummies!
There’s just something about that chewy, fruity goodness covered in sour sugar that makes my taste buds happy.
Sour gummy worms? YES.
Sugar-coated gummies? Absolutely.
Anything chewy, fruity, and covered in that delicious sour sugar? MINE!
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy chocolate every now and then. But if we’re sitting around after trick-or-treating, sorting through our Halloween candy and making trades, I’ll happily hand over my chocolate for your sour gummies.
And honestly, that’s part of what makes Halloween so much fun. Everyone has that one candy they get ridiculously excited to find in their bag.
For some people, it’s a peanut butter cup. For others, it’s a chocolate bar.
For me, it’s those wonderfully sour little gummies that make your mouth pucker before you reach for another handful.
Sweet & Sour, you betcha!
