Writing Prompt: What’s Your Favorite Fall Fashion Trend?
There’s just something about fall fashion that I absolutely love! Maybe it’s the cozy sweaters, the beautiful autumn colors, or simply having an excuse to dress comfortably without looking like I just rolled out of bed. Either way, fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons when it comes to clothing.
When I started thinking about today’s writing prompt, I realized I couldn’t narrow my answer down to just one trend. There are actually a few things I look forward to wearing every fall!
Give Me All the Cozy Sweaters!
First up, oversized sweaters!
I love a good sweater that’s comfortable, soft, and just a little oversized. There’s something about throwing on a cozy sweater that makes me feel instantly ready for fall.
And the best part? You don’t have to sacrifice comfort to look cute! Pair one with leggings or jeans, add some cute shoes, and you’ve got an outfit without putting in a ton of effort.
That’s my kind of fashion!
Cozy Athleisure? Yes, Please!
If there’s one thing I appreciate, it’s clothing that’s both comfortable and practical.
Leggings, oversized sweatshirts, cozy matching sets, and sneakers? Sign me up!
I work from home, so comfort is definitely important to me. I love being able to wear something that’s comfortable enough to lounge around in but still looks put together if I need to run errands or leave the house.
Whoever decided that comfortable clothing could also be fashionable deserves a thank-you!
Autumn Colors Have My Heart 
Can we talk about how beautiful fall colors are?
Burnt orange, burgundy, olive green, chocolate brown, mustard yellow… I love them all!
There’s something so warm and inviting about these shades. They remind me of changing leaves, pumpkin patches, crisp mornings, and everything else that makes autumn feel so magical.
Even a simple outfit can feel festive when you’re wearing those beautiful seasonal colors.
Layering Is Where It’s At!
Another thing I love about fall fashion is layering.
A cute shirt with a cardigan, a cozy sweater over a top, or a jacket thrown over a casual outfit can completely change the look.
Plus, layering is practical!
Living in California, I’ve learned that mornings can be chilly while afternoons warm up quite a bit. Being able to add or remove a layer throughout the day makes getting dressed so much easier.
And let’s be real, sometimes that extra layer is what makes the entire outfit!
My Fall Fashion Philosophy
If I had to describe my personal fall fashion style, it would probably be cozy, casual, comfortable, and full of autumn colors.
I’m not someone who needs to follow every new fashion trend. I would much rather wear something that makes me feel good, looks cute, and allows me to go about my day comfortably.
Give me an oversized sweater, some leggings, a cute cardigan, and a little burgundy or burnt orange, and I’m happy!

Of course, we can’t talk about fall fashion without mentioning plaid!
Plaid is practically a fall staple. Whether it’s a flannel shirt, a cozy blanket, a scarf, or even some cute pajamas, it always seems to make an appearance this time of year.
