Photo Prompt: Something Cinnamon Flavored
Writing Prompt: What Flavor Reminds You of Fall?
If fall had a flavor, I’m pretty sure it would be cinnamon!
There’s just something about cinnamon, apple pie, and pumpkin pie that instantly makes me think of autumn. Maybe it’s the warm spices, the delicious smells coming from the kitchen, or the fact that these flavors seem to taste even better when the weather starts cooling down.
Apple pie is definitely one of those classic fall flavors for me. Especially when it’s warm, fresh out of the oven, and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!
And then there’s pumpkin pie. You really can’t talk about fall flavors without mentioning pumpkin! Whether it’s pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, or one of the million pumpkin-spiced treats that appear this time of year, it’s practically the unofficial flavor of the season.
But cinnamon? Cinnamon might just be the winner.
Cinnamon rolls, cinnamon sugar sprinkled on something sweet, or even just the smell of cinnamon filling the house. It gives me all those cozy autumn feelings.
I think that’s what I love most about fall flavors. They’re comforting. They remind me of holidays, baking, family gatherings, and all those little traditions that make this time of year feel special.
And now, after writing about all these delicious treats, I’m craving a warm slice of apple pie.
What about you? What’s the one flavor that instantly makes you think of fall?
Until next time, create the magic!
